Standard Process Biofilm ProBalance: I started using this product to support my daughter’s gut health, specifically focusing on eliminating her Candida, which resulted in her developing cradle cap. I open the capsule and put a little in her smoothie once a week. I have been doing it for a month and can already notice a difference! (always consult with your primary doctor or practitioner first)
Filter Baby - Sink Faucet: I just ordered my refill filter and thought this would be a perfect product to share for this month! I LOVE this product. One, I am all about filtered water, not only for drinking, which is priority one, but if you can find other ways to support your health by using filtered water in other important areas, such as the shower (which I use the Aquasana shower filter) or your sink where you brush your teeth and wash your face, then that is another big win. Living in an apartment, I don’t have the luxury of having a whole-house filter (which I hope to have one day!), so this is an easy, affordable, and convenient way to access cleaner water.
Matcha Latte: As with most things, not all matcha powder is created equal. I personally find it important to try and source high-quality brands that focus on ceremonial grade, USDA certified organic, high-quality leaves (meaning shade-grown, which naturally boosts their nutrients and first-harvest), minimal processing (stone-milled to a fine powder and should have no fillers, additives, or GMOs), screened for pesticides, heavy metals, toxic mold, and radioactive isotopes, and has a vibrant color and smooth texture. A few brands I’ve tried and like (though there are other clean brands out there!) are Pique, Anima Mundi, and Rishi Everyday Matcha, which is the most affordable. Though they may differ in how many of these boxes they check, finding the right balance is key - perfection isn't always necessary.
Recently I’ve been loving my latte hot, but cold (over ice) is just as good. I use whole or raw milk (1 cup), a little maple syrup, and cinnamon on top. Also, pro tip: the whisk and a frother are a must!
Sourdough toast with avocado, sauerkraut, and everything but the bagel seasoning: This has been my go-to breakfast or snack. I will also add 2-3 sunny-side-up eggs on top for protein. It’s so filling and satisfying. Also, be sure to read the ingredients carefully when purchasing bread. With the high trend of sourdough, companies got extra slick with marketing, and a lot of these “sourdough breads” are nothing close to the real deal. My goal (and hopefully soon) is to make my own, but until then, the two companies I use are Bread Alone and 123Dough.
Bon Charge - Blue Light Blocking Clip Light: This little clip light is a game-changer for protecting your sleep health. It blocks blue light, which can suppress melatonin and throw off your natural circadian rhythm. Instead, you get a warm, calming glow that supports better rest. With three brightness settings, it’s perfect for reading, journaling, or any evening activity without the harsh effects of regular lighting. I even use it as a little “nightlight” sometimes, as it gives off a nice, strong glow, helping to relax, wind down, and keep the other lights off.
