Grain-Free Pie Crust

Grain-Free Pie Crust

(gluten-free, egg-free, refined sugar-free)


  • 2 1/2 cups of almond flour

  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut

  • 1 tablespoon warm water

  • 3 tablespoons of ghee, melted

  • 3 tablespoons of maple syrup (warmed or room temperature)

  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt


  • Preheat oven to 350

  • In a food processor, add the sea salt, almond flour, and shredded coconut until finely ground

  • Add in the ghee, warm water, and maple syrup next and blend until dough and coarse crumbs start to form.

  • Transfer dough to a greased 9-inch pie plate or tart pan.

  • Evenly press the dough on the bottom and sides.

  • Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown and firm.

  • Allow the crust to cool before using it for your next recipe.


  • For a dairy-free version (although ghee is considered dairy-free), you can replace with coconut oil or coconut butter

  • For a nut-free version, cassava flour may work as well!
